Larger sized carbide lamp details this is an old carbide lamp for use in the mines, marked around the center itp lamp dewar mfg. Co. Brooklyn, n. Y. U. S. A. The i-t-p stood for it's trouble proof. In addition, there are patent dates of 1912, 1913 and 1918 stamped above the writing. The water and carbide tanks appear to be made fo steel (magnetic), with a possibly aluminum (not magnetic) divider between them (where the writing is). Has a handle with hook for hanging, as well as a hook to clip into a hard hat.
This is larger than most carbide lamps, standing about 7 inches tall. Two views are shown in the photos above and at left be sure to click on the links to see the full siez images!
